Vendor types refer to the different categories or classifications of suppliers, vendors, or external partners that provide goods or services to a business or organization. These types may vary based on various factors such as the nature of the products or services offered, the industry sector, and the relationship with the organization. Common vendor types include manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, service providers, contractors, consultants, and third-party vendors. Understanding vendor types helps businesses identify and select the most suitable partners to meet their procurement needs and strategic objectives.
Create and edit vendor types, whether Staff Agency or other.
To add a vendor type:
- Go to Data Items on the left side panel.
- Click Vendor Management.
- Click Create and Edit Vendor Types.
- Click New Entry.
- Fill out the vendor type information.
- Click on Save.
To edit a vendor title:
- Go to Data Items on the left side panel.
- Click Vendor Management.
- Click Create and Edit Vendor Types.
- Click the pencil icon on the Action column.
- Edit the desired information, once finished click on Save.
