Understanding Revenue Categories

A Financial Management Tool for Printed Document and Financial Recording

Revenue categories also relate to how items are tracked in the financial section and how the financial information may be displayed on customer proposals and contracts. This information breaks down the allocation of revenues for specific goods and services provided. It is important that you review your current financial statements and develop your revenue category codes to include necessary existing information and any new information you would like to see on proposals and contracts. Remember, these are powerful tracking mechanisms. Five revenue codes in the system must remain -- FOOD, EQUIP, MISC, STAFF, and ALC.

They are parent codes within the program and should not be removed.
