# Unassign Button

To unassign an employee from an assignment, select their record and click the \[Unassign\] button

This will remove their name from the Assigned list. If you want to reassign that person, you will need to close the Payroll window in which you are working and reopen it.

When you reopen the event payroll window you will see that person’s name appear in the unassigned list on the left.  
To set your security on each of these buttons, follow the instructions for Security Setup.
