This provides a descriptive phrase for the status of the event in the sales cycle. It is used in marketing reports but NOT but the computer. The actual status of each event is called the “Contract Status,” which is a component of the Event entry screen. You will notice the Event Status is tied to the Contract Status (Pending, Confirmed, Cancelled). If you are on a networked environment where many people may be monitoring the event statuses, you may consider having more than one of each Confirmed and Pending statuses (Confirmed – Deposit Rec’d, Confirmed – Deposit Pend., etc.)
This area can also be used to track the number, types, and budgets of events you have lost to your competitors. Enter your local competitors’ names with the Contract status “X - Cancelled” in order to achieve this.
To add a new Status, click the [+New] button.
Enter the Event Status.
Make sure the “Is Active” checkbox is selected, and you can select any of the other options in the check boxes to the right.
Select the Status Code, Display Color and Callback from the drop down menus.
When you are finished, click [Save].
