Salesperson Goals

Salesperson Goals allows your company to track and manage revenue targets for each salesperson. Set monthly or annual goals, monitor actual performance against targets, and manage goal records for different cost centers.

    To Create/Edit Sales Persons Goals

    1. On the side panel go to General Setup
    2. Select Marketing

    3.  Click on Create and Edit Sales Persons Goals

You will open the "Sales Person Goals" window where you can create new goal records or modify existing ones.

    Before creating salesperson goals, ensure:

    • Salesperson names are already configured in your system
    • Cost centers are defined (if you plan to assign goals to specific cost centers)

    FIELD DEFINITIONS

The Sales Person Goals form contains the following fields:

    ID

What it is: A unique identifier automatically assigned to each goal record. Format: Integer (1, 2, 3, etc.) You can: View only - this is auto-generated and cannot be edited.

    Sales Person

What it is: The salesperson for whom you're setting a revenue goal. Format: Dropdown selection from list of all salespeople in your system (Chris Marsh, Dean, Cesar Minas, etc.) You can: Select one salesperson per record. Click the dropdown arrow to view available salespeople. Note: Each record is tied to one specific salesperson.

    Month
What it is: The month for which the revenue goal applies. Format: Dropdown with all 12 months (January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December) You can: Select the specific month you're setting a goal for. Note: Goals are created on a monthly basis - one record per month.
    Year (Required)

What it is: The year for which the revenue goal applies. Format: Numeric year field (2011, 2012, 2025, etc.) You can: Enter or select the year you want to set a goal for. Note: You can set goals for historical years, current year, or future years.

    Revenue Goal (Required)

What it is: The target revenue amount the salesperson should achieve during the selected month. Format: Currency field ($10,000.00) You can: Enter the goal amount in dollars and cents. Validation: Accepts numerical values formatted as currency. Example: $10,000.00 represents a goal of ten thousand dollars. Why it matters: This is the benchmark used to measure actual performance against target. Higher or lower values set different performance expectations.

Is Active (Toggle - Default ON)

Indicates whether this goal record is currently active. An active goal is in effect and will be used in tracking and reporting salesperson performance.

Format: Toggle switch (ON = Red/Active, OFF = Inactive) You can: Turn the toggle ON to mark the goal as active, or OFF to deactivate it. Default: New records start with Is Active = ON (red toggle indicates active status) When to use:

    • Toggle ON: Goal is currently in effect and should be used for performance tracking
    • Toggle OFF: Goal is no longer in effect (past period, superseded by new goal, etc.) Why it matters: Deactivating a goal removes it from active tracking without deleting the record, preserving historical data while preventing it from affecting current performance reports.
    Costcenter

What it is: The inventory cost center that the salesperson has access to. This links the salesperson's goal to the specific inventory center they manage or are responsible for. Format: Dropdown field - "Select CostCenter" You can: Leave blank if not applicable, or select the specific inventory cost center from the dropdown where this salesperson works. What it represents: The physical inventory location or warehouse that this salesperson has responsibility for or access to (e.g., downtown warehouse, suburban warehouse, central distribution center). Why it matters: Assigning a cost center to a goal allows you to track sales performance by the specific inventory location the salesperson serves, enabling more detailed performance analysis by location.

    Actual Booked Revenue (Read-Only)

The actual revenue booked by the salesperson during the selected month/year period. Format: Currency field ($10,000.00) You can: View only - this is calculated automatically by the system based on actual event bookings. Why it matters: This field shows real performance, allowing you to compare actual results against the Revenue Goal you set. Note: This updates automatically - you do not enter this manually.

    History Section (Read-Only)

    What it contains:

    • Created By: Username of person who created this record
    • Created Date: Date and time the record was created
    • Edited By: Username of person who last edited this record
    • Edited Date: Date and time of the last edit
