Release Notes 6.12.26 (Release 29.1) - Online Portal

1. Enhanced Event Status and Department Submission Controls After Payment

We’ve added two new configuration settings that provide greater control over how event statuses and department submissions are handled after payments are made through the Shopping Cart or Payment Portal.

What’s New?

  • Automatic Department Submission After Full Payment

A new setting allows administrators to determine whether event departments should automatically be submitted and locked once an event has been paid in full.

    Available options:

    • Yes – Departments are automatically marked as Submitted and locked after full payment is received.

    • No – Departments remain editable and are not automatically submitted.

    Default value: No

  • Flexible Event Status Updates Based on Payment

A new setting provides additional control over when an event status should be updated after payment.

    Available options:

    • Option 1 – No event status changes occur after payment.

    • Option 2 – The event status is automatically updated to the configured Confirmed Order Status after any payment (partial or full).

    • Option 3 – The event status is automatically updated to the configured Confirmed Order Status only when the event is paid in full.

    Default value: Option 1

Benefits:

  •  Greater flexibility in payment-driven workflows.

  • Improved control over department submission and locking behavior.

  • Ability to align event status updates with your organization’s payment and approval processes.

2. (Bug Fix) Improved Serve Calculations for Package Item Substitutions🐞

We’ve enhanced how Serve quantities are calculated for package items that include substitutions in the Shopping Cart.

What’s Changed?

When a package contains items with substitutions, the system now automatically calculates the substitution item’s Serve quantity based on the Serve value of the main package item.

This ensures that substitution items scale correctly when packages are configured with different Serve quantities.

Impact:

The updated Serve calculation is now consistently applied to:

  • Quantity calculations

  • Scaling logic

  • Values displayed throughout the Shopping Cart experience

Benefits:

  •  More accurate quantity calculations for substituted items
  • Consistent scaling across package configurations
  • Improved visibility of actual quantities displayed to users
  • Reduced risk of ordering discrepancies when substitutions are selected
