1. On the left side panel, click on Data Items
2. Select Food Management

3. Choose Recipe Management (Active Items Only)

4. You can either select an existing record or create new data by clicking on New Entry:

5. When creating a new recipe, start by entering the recipe name. Then, select the Master Filter and Groups. Next, navigate to the Recipe Serves & Production Rules section. In the Recipe field, enter the number of servings.
Enter the number of servings that can be prepared from the quantity specified in this recipe.

Portion:
- Enter the portion size in the first box.
- Use the drop-down menu on the right to select the appropriate unit of measurement (weight or volume).
- If you’re not specifying weight or volume, choose ‘Each’ from the list. You can also select any custom portion unit available in the pick list

Yield:
- The total ingredient measurements should match the specified yield. If you know the recipe’s yield and number of servings but not the portion size, the system will automatically calculate the portion size once you enter the serving count and total yield.

The three fields mentioned above are critical. All food cost calculations and system processes, such as purchase orders, billing, and invoicing depend on the accuracy of recipe yield figures. Please ensure precision and test any recipes you’re unsure about. The system also allows you to edit recipes later to correct and maintain accuracy
