The Miscellaneous Items Management is where you can add, edit, or delete non-equipment items in the database. These items are items such as face painting, special decorations, delivery fees, etc. your system contains about 350 items in this database. We tried to think of those extra things every organization uses. Your attention should be focused on reviewing the database and editing existing items to meet your company’s needs. These items are taxed differently than ingredients, recipes, and equipment.
As with the other Elecate database section, miscellaneous items are categorized by groups to help you organize your inventory and make look-up of items easy and efficient. We strongly suggest that you take the time to review the group names (see Miscellaneous Group Setup). Further, we strongly suggest that you adopt these group headers as your group naming convention. You can add to this list and you can change any given miscellaneous item to another group; however, do not delete a group from the system until all of your miscellaneous data item entry completed. You will need to look at the groups again after this is complete in order to ensure that your data is not damaged when you do delete unwanted group names.
