How do I clear my browser cache?

Clearing your browser cache can help resolve issues such as outdated content, loading errors, or display problems. Follow the instructions below based on the browser you are using.

Browser interfaces and steps may change at any time at the vendor’s discretion. If the steps below differ from what you see, refer to the browser’s official help documentation.

Google Chrome (Desktop)

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click the three‑dot menu (⋮) in the top‑right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Go to Privacy and security.
  5. Click Clear browsing data.
  6. In the Time range dropdown, select All time (or your preferred range).
  7. Check Cached images and files.
  8. Click Clear data.

Microsoft Edge (Desktop)

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click the three‑dot menu (⋮) in the top‑right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Choose Privacy, search, and services.
  5. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
  6. Select a Time range (for example, All time).
  7. Check Cached images and files.
  8. Click Clear now.

Safari (macOS)

  1. Open Safari.
  2. In the top menu bar, click SafariSettings (or Preferences, depending on macOS version).
  3. Go to the Privacy tab.
  4. Click Manage Website Data.
  5. Select Remove All, then confirm.

Optional (advanced users):

  • Enable the Develop menu (Safari → Settings → Advanced → Show Develop menu in menu bar)
  • Then click Develop → Empty Caches

Safari (iPhone / iPad)

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and tap Safari.
  3. Tap Clear History and Website Data.
  4. Confirm by tapping Clear History and Data.

Additional Notes

  • Clearing the cache will not usually delete saved passwords, but it may sign you out of some websites.
