To add a new recipe to an event, click on the [+] sign next to the word “Recipe.” This will expand the Recipe group into a tree view:
To get more specific, click on the [+] sign next to the word DESSERTS, and then click on the [+] sign next to the word DESSERTS – BARS & BROWNIES. You will notice that the [+] disappears when you click on it next to DESSERTS – BARS & BROWNIES. This is because there are no other subgroups in this category.
Click on the group name “DESSERTS – BARS & BROWNIES.” This will highlight it and bring up all the recipes in that group in the list to the right.
Now you can browse the list or search for the specific recipe that you want to add.
For our example, we will use the scrumptious-sounding CHOCOLATE BOURBON PECAN BARS.
Double-click on those bars in the list.
This will bring up the Recipe Items window
In the top section, Recipe Item, the ID, Item Name, Master Filter, Portions, and Units fields are all locked. The only editable field is the Description, which you are welcome to review and edit if necessary.
In Order Details, you must enter the Quantity and Price in the fields below:
To see the total price, enter your quantity and unit price and press the [Tab] key.
Under Options, enter the sequence number, check the box for “Print Item” and “Print Photo” (if there is one), and select the Menu Page on which the recipe will appear.

The Sequence number is the order by which the recipe list will appear on the Order Review. We recommend that you enter items with the numbering system by 10s (tens). For example, the first item is sequence number 10, the second is sequence number 20, etc.
For the recipe’s Location (if you have different stations or rooms at your event), you can add it here.
Click on the [+] sign to add a new location.
Enter the location in the text field and click [OK].
To remove it, click the [X] button.
For Production Notes and Contract Notes, you can enter any internal or external notes as needed, respectively.
The character limit for Production Notes is 50 and for Contract Notes: 8000.
The last section of this window is for Equipment. If there is any associated equipment with this recipe, you can enter the details here.
In the Equipment Quantity field, type in how many you will need.
In Equipment Description, type in what kind of equipment you will use.
In the Serving/Reheat box, type in the preparation instructions of the recipe.
To save this entry, click [Ok].
To set your security on the [Save] button, follow the instructions for Security Setup.
To go to and edit the next selected recipe item in your Order Review list, click [Next] (or [Previous]).
To delete this recipe from your event, click the [Delete] button.
To close without saving, or if you made no changes, click [X Close].
If you had saved the recipe for use in your event, it will show up in the Order Review list:
