Event or Order Status

 
Event or Order Statuses define the stage and progression of an event, catering order, or booking throughout its lifecycle in Elecate. These statuses help teams organize workflows, track operational progress, improve reporting accuracy, and communicate order readiness across departments. Proper status setup ensures consistency between sales, production, finance, and customer service processes.
 

The Event or Order Status screen allows users to:

  • Create new statuses
  • Edit existing statuses
  • Reorder statuses to match operational workflow
  • Save status changes and updates

Determine the stages your events and orders pass through from initial inquiry to completion.

Examples:

  • Inquiry
  • Proposal Sent
  • Tentative
  • Confirmed
  • In Production
  • Delivered
  • Completed
  • Cancelled

Review workflow requirements with:

  • Sales
  • Catering Operations
  • Kitchen/Production
  • Finance
  • Customer Service

This ensures status definitions are consistently understood across departments.

Once workflow stages are defined:

  1. Create statuses.
  2. Arrange them in logical order.
  3. Save the configuration.
  4. Begin assigning statuses to events and orders.
 

To create/edit or order the event status: 

  1. On the side panel go to General Setup
  2. Select Marketing

3.  Click on Create and Edit Event or Order Status

4.  On this window, you have the option to edit a current event or create a new one by selecting New Entry, next you must click on save.
